Artist Colin Bliss and I ran a two-month employment site for a Workforce Recovery Project grant serving twenty underserved teens from the neighborhoods. Through the rugged process of movie-making we introduced them to the thrill of tackling big projects. Our final effort was the stop animation Ocean Riser that chronicles a few of the social challenges the teens face regularly from pressures to conform socially to struggling to fit in.
